Woman Dies After Being Hit By Truck While Crossing Gandy Blvd.: FHP
A woman running across Gandy Boulevard Friday night died after being hit by a pickup truck, Florida Highway Patrol said.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 27-year-old St. Petersburg woman died after being hit by a pickup truck while running across Gandy Boulevard late Friday night, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
The woman was crossing the highway just west of Oak Street Northeast when she ran into the path of the truck, which was driven by a 53-year-old Dover woman.
The crash happened just before midnight.

The pedestrian was brought to an area hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
