Woman Found Dead In St. Pete Alley Identified
Police are asking residents along 62nd Avenue South and 22nd Street South to check their security cameras for suspicious activity.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — As St. Petersburg Police continue their investigation into the death of a 22-year-old woman whose body was found in an alley Thursday morning, they’ve released more details in the case.
According to the agency, Taylor Anne McAllister’s body was found around 7:45 a.m. by a man looking for aluminum cans in the 2100 block of 63rd Avenue South. The man found the body in an alley that separates an apartment complex from nearby homes.
“He and another neighbor approached the body and confirmed the observation then called 911,” an email to media from police said. “First responders confirmed the woman was deceased and detectives have determined she was the victim of a homicide based on evidence at the scene.”

McAllister has no known local address, police say. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday morning to determine the exact cause of death.
As the investigation continues, detectives are asking residents in the area of 62nd Avenue South and 22nd Street South to check their home surveillance camera footage. They are particularly interested in suspicious activity that may have been recorded between midnight and 7 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 22.
