Woman Trapped Under Fallen Tree Branch Rescued: St. Pete Police
A large tree branch fell on a woman Saturday morning, St. Petersburg police said.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A woman was rescued Saturday morning after being trapped under a fallen tree branch, according to a St. Petersburg Police Department news release.
A large branch broke from an oak tree and hit two houses around 6 a.m.
When the woman came outside to check on it, a second larger branch fell on her, pinning her to the sidewalk, police said. Officers extracted her from underneath the tree.

St. Pete Fire Rescue arrived and brought her to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries to her legs.
While the tree was removed, 15th Avenue South was shut down between 30th and 31st streets.
