Over 8,000 Wreaths To Arrive At Bay Pines For Wreaths Across America: Volunteers Needed
The Bay Pines National Cemetery will be hosting a wreath-laying ceremony Saturday. Prior to the ceremony, volunteers will help set up.

BAY PINES, FL — The Bay Pines National Cemetery will host a Wreaths Across America ceremony Saturday, and volunteers are needed.
Bay Pines is one of the 2,500 locations in the U.S. coordinating a wreath-laying ceremony on Dec. 18–a time to remember our fallen veterans and honor those who serve.
Doug Maddox, director of Bay Pines National Cemetery, told Patch that more than 8,000 wreaths will need to be placed on the headstones of veterans and other areas at the cemetery. If you would like to volunteer, wreath laying begins at 11 a.m. followed with a service at 12 p.m. Volunteers can drive onto the Veterans Affairs campus using the main hospital entrance at 95th Street at the stop light by WaWa. Parking will be available behind the cemetery. Folks are asked to not arrive before 10 a.m.
