• Mother kicked off Instagram after allegedly posting sexual images of 8-year-old son (villages-news.com) — Wildwood residents should know that a local woman was recently arrested after police say they found multiple inappropriate videos of her young son on her phone, allegedly shared on Instagram. She was taken into custody by Wildwood police, booked into the Sumter County Detention Center without bond, and is also being held on an immigration-related detainer.
   

• Driver who lost license after DUI stopped for speeding in Wildwood (villages-news.com) — A driver with a suspended license was arrested in Wildwood after police say he was caught speeding on Clay Drain Road with an obscured tag and an expired work-permit document. The stop ended on South Main Street, and the man was taken to the Sumter County Detention Center on multiple charges. Residents may notice increased traffic enforcement in this area.
   

• Zero boys basketball unbeatens; Miss Volleyball; TFA honors (orlandosentinel.com) — Wildwood High’s boys basketball team edged Mount Dora Christian 62-61 in overtime, part of a wider shakeup that left Central Florida without any undefeated boys teams.
