$2M GA Victor In FL Lottery; Cumming Resident Wins Nearly $1M
A $10 scratch-off in FL turned into $2 million for a Georgia woman, and a Fantasy 5 player was a few dollars shy of being a millionaire.
RIVERDALE, GA — A Georgia resident on a trip to Florida walked away from the Sunshine State a $2 million lottery winner, according to the Florida Lottery.
Lottery officials say a 64-year-old Riverdale woman recently claimed the top prize in the $10 Monopoly Doubler scratch-off game.
After claiming her prize at the Tallahassee, Florida, lottery headquarters, the woman took home $1,597,848 in a lump-sum payment, lottery officials said.

The winning ticket was sold at A P Discount in south Daytona, Florida. Lottery officials said A P Discount received a $4,000 commission for selling the ticket.
According to the lottery officials, the chances of winning the $2 million prize was 1 in 3.51.

The Monopoly Doubler included eight $2 million prizes and totals $176 million in cash prizes, lottery officials said.
As for the Georgia Lottery, results show a Cumming resident secured an estimated $993,977 in the Fantasy 5 in Monday's drawing. It is unknown where the winning ticket was sold.
