4 GA Restaurants Among 100 Most Popular Brunch Spots In U.S.

Four Georgia restaurants have been included in the list of OpenTable's 100 Most Popular Brunch Spots for 2023.

GEORGIA— Four Georgia restaurants have been included in a new list of 100 Most Popular Brunch Spots for 2023. The list, compiled by online reservation website OpenTable just ahead of Mother's Day, is based on the analysis of more than 13 million diner reviews.

The following Georgia restaurants made the list:

  • The Select, Sandy Springs
    • Enjoy contemporary continental cuisine with a French influence surrounded by 1920s architecture.
  • Canoe, Atlanta
    • Selected as one of the "Best New Restaurants" in the country by the James Beard Foundation, Canoe sits along the Chattahoochee River in Atlanta's historic Vinings area.
  • Bistro Niko, Buckhead, Atlanta
    • A nod to Paris right in the heart of Buckhead, Bistro Niko boasts modern French fare that's authentic and simple.
  • Murphy's, Atlanta
    • For over 40 years, Murphy's has ranked among Atlanta's best restaurants, famous for best brunch and creative lunch and dinner cuisine.

Mother’s Day was the second-biggest dining day of 2022, and the majority of reservations were booked five days in advance, according to OpenTable survey data. To get a table, reserve now — or at least by May 9, experts say.

The survey, conducted for OpenTable by the online research and data analysis group YouGov, found that 78 percent of U.S. adults plan to celebrate Mother’s Day with a meal out, and that they’ll spend the same or more than they have in previous years.

Also, according to the survey, about 30 percent of moms want to go to their favorite restaurants; 18 percent don’t care where they go, but want the menu to feature their favorite cuisine; 15 percent want to try something new; 12 percent want to eat outdoors; 6 percent want an elevated culinary experience; and 5 percent want to eat at a woman-owned restaurant.
