8 GA Big Lots To Be Shuttered Amid Nationwide Closures: See Where
See if your local Big Lots has been tapped for closure amid the retail giant's financial uncertainty.

GEORGIA — After Big Lots announced in July that some of its stores would be shuttered, the picture is being painted more clearer in showing which Georgia locations may be shut down.
Big Lots has identified on its website eight Georgia stores tapped for closure. Each of the locations were marked online with a "closing this location" banner and were offering up to 20 percent off at their stores as of Tuesday afternoon.
The Ohio-based retail chain, in a July filing with the federal Securities and Exchange Commission, said it would close some of its stores after expressing uncertainty about being able to meet the terms of a credit agreement and function as a business.

FastCompany, a business media company, reported Tuesday that Big Lots was pulling the curtain on up to 315 stores in 35 states. The media outlet said Big Lots was pulling the plug on most of its stores in California, shutting down 75 of its 109 California locations.
Founded in 1967, the company operated in its infancy as Consolidated International and operated closeout and discount stores under a variety of names. In 2001, the various store names and company were converted to the single national Big Lots brand.
