Buc-ee's To Open 3rd Travel Center Near GA Coast

Buc-ee's will break ground on its new 74,000-square-foot facility later this month.

BRUNSWICK — The Buc-ee's experience is coming to the Georgia coast.

The new 74,000-square-foot travel center will land at 7156 Highway 99 near Interstate 95 in Brunswick. An official opening date is unknown.

Customers will have access to 120 fueling stations, the company said in a news release.

“Brunswick is a natural stop between our Florida and South Carolina locations on a stretch of interstate near the beautiful Georgia coastline,” Stan Beard, Buc-ee's director of real estate, said in the release. “The community has welcomed us with open arms, and we are excited to finally get started here.”

The development will be the third Buc-ee's to open in Georgia, with the popular travel center having locations in Calhoun and Warner Robins. A ground breaking is planned for 10 a.m., Jan. 29.

More than 200 full-time job openings are planned, with starting pay above minimum wage, the company said.

Representatives for Buc-ee's said customer favorites, including Texas barbecue and Beaver nuggets, will be available for sell several other items at the travel center.

"Visitors will find thousands of snack, meal and drink options, as well as the same award-winning restrooms, cheap gas, quality products and excellent service that have won the hearts, trust and business of millions in the south for over 40 years," the company said in the release.

Buc-ee's was founded in 1982 in Texas and has expanded to open 47 stores throughout the southern region. Aside from Georgia, Buc-ee's has locations in Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, South Carolina, Missouri and Tennessee.
