EMTs Headed To Louisiana Struck While Helping, One Killed
2 EMTs on their way to help with Hurricane Ida recovery in Lousiana stopped on I-85 in Georgia to help in an accident and were hit by a car.
GEORGIA — Two EMTs headed from Georgia to Louisiana to help Hurricane Ida victims were struck by a car on their way, and one of the two was killed, a local report said.
Two American Medical Response emergency medical technicians were hit by a car on southbound Interstate 85 near Kia Boulevard in Troup County, said Regional Director Chris Valentin, according to CNAW News. The EMTs were identified as Logan Wade and Nick Daniel in the CNAW report.
On their way to help with hurricane recovery, they stopped to help others in an accident when a car struck them both.

Wade, who was 32, died after CPR was given, the CNAW report said.
Daniel suffered minor injuries and is being evaluated, according to a report by CNAW Eyewitness News 2 posted on Twitter.
