GEORGIA — Former Georgia Tech and NBA player Javaris Crittenton is set to be released from prison after serving 10 of his 23-year sentence related to the August 2011 shooting death of a mother of four, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Friday.
Crittenton pleaded guilty in 2015 to voluntary manslaughter and aggravated assault in the death of the woman, the AJC reported. The outlet reported a former Fulton County district attorney agreed to shorten his sentence if he "could demonstrate he'd learn from his mistakes."
