"Working there everyday, and now thinking about the building not existing is hard," posted churchgoer, Darren Clifford Sermons, to Facebook. "But, it was just a building. What I saw [Wednesday] tonight as it burned to the ground, was a STRONG church body. And more LOVE shared than anyone deserves to see in a lifetime. I love my church family more than they will ever know."
Following the news, neighboring churches were quick to show support. South Georgia Church of God has set up an online fund to help the church rebuild.
