GA City Named Among Best Food Scenes Nationally: Report

USA Today readers say a Georgia city, known for its deep southern roots, is ranked among the best in the nation.

GEORGIA — A Georgia city is one of the best small town food scenes in the nation, USA Today said last week in its 10best Readers Choice Awards 2024.

The ongoing online contests allow readers to choose the top 10 winners from a list of 20 nominees in several nationwide categories, including food, lodging and destinations. USA Today said an expert panel makes the nominations before voting occurs.

Georgians may recognize one of this year's victors, Thomasville, which makes an appearance in one category.

The South Georgia town is home to Diablo's Southwest Grill, Coyoacan, Dog World, CK's Crab House, Chop House on the Bricks, Beef O'Brady's, Maryland Fried Chicken, Burg Cookie Company of Thomasville and AJ Moonspin and Pasta Luna. Aside from its eateries, Thomasville also hosts specialty shops and festivals.
