GA Parents Killed In Apparent Murder-Suicide ID'ed
A 9-year-old girl witnessed a shooting that killed her parents, who Georgia authorities have now identified.
FLOWERY BRANCH, GA — Authorities have identified the man and woman killed in a shooting witnessed by their 9-year-old daughter at a Flowery Branch home.
The deadly shooting happened around 3 p.m. Saturday at a home in the 5400 block of Bushnell Court.
Hall County authorities on Tuesday accused 51-year-old Flowery Branch resident Adrian Gabriele Alexander of shooting and killing 50-year-old Mallory Jane Whitaker of Gainesville before fatally turning the gun on himself.

Previously, authorities said their daughter saw the shooting and called a friend on FaceTime while she hid in a closet.

The friend told her parents about the call, and the friend's parents notified 911, authorities previously said.
When deputies arrived, authorities said they found Whitaker dead near the front door of the home. They said she had been shot multiple times.
Alexander was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the basement, authorities said.
Their daughter was not physically harmed, authorities said.
The case is being investigated as a murder-suicide, authorities said, adding they are working to determine what led to the shooting.
