GA Teen Indicted On Murder Charges In Parents' Deaths: Report
A Georgia couple was found dead by their 6-year-old daughter, and their 17-year-old daughter is accused of fatally shooting them.
CARROLLTON, GA — A Carroll County teenager has been indicted on murder charges in connection with the shooting death of her parents, who were found dead by their 6-year-old daughter, a media report says.
A grand jury on Tuesday indicted Sarah Grace Patrick, 17, in the killings, WAGA-TV reported. Carroll County Jail records showed her bond was denied.
The Carroll County Sheriff's Office in July announced it was charging Patrick with two counts of murder and two counts of aggravated assault. On Tuesday, WXIA-TV reported she faces an additional two counts of malice murder and weapon-related charges though the new charges were not reflected in jail records early Wednesday afternoon.

Patrick was arrested after authorities say she fatally shot her mother and stepfather the morning of Feb. 20 at their Carrollton Tyus Road home. Authorities say when they arrived, they found 45-year-old James Brock and 41-year-old Kristin Brock dead from gunshot wounds.

The day her parents were killed, the couple's 6-year-old daughter found her slain parents and went to tell her older sister, said Ashley Hulsey, Carroll County's communication director and the public information officer for the sheriff's office. She added Patrick then called 911.
"Mountains of evidence" have led authorities to identify Patrick as a suspect, Hulsey said.
Patrick surrendered the morning of July 8 after being told warrants were taken out against her, and she is being charged as an adult, Hulsey previously said.
Trysten Brock, the oldest son to James Brock, spoke against Patrick receiving bond at Tuesday's hearing, WXIA-TV reported.
"Your honor, it feels like I'm living in a nightmare," Trysten Brock reportedly said.
Kim Bowling, James Brock's sister, who took the stand at the hearing, expressed being nervous to see her niece, WXIA-TV reported.
"I was just nervous. Nervous because I know what she's accused of doing, and I'm not going to back down," Bowling reportedly said. "If the defendant can kill her own parents in such a violent manner, I fear for my own safety and the safety of my family and friends."
Patrick was granted a speedy trial, which is set to start on Jan. 5, WAGA-TV reported.
