GA's Least Healthy Menu Item: Here's Where To Find It
A health and nutrition website offers its opinion on the most unwholesome menu options in all 50 states. Here's where to find the one in GA.
GEORGIA — You might think that a plate of barbecue, fried chicken or a slice of pecan pie would serve as Georgia's unhealthiest restaurant menu item. You'd be wrong.
According to the Eat This, Not That website, the state's most dietary despicable place is Georgia's own Bypass Burgers at The Vortex in Atlanta. The restaurants actually have four types of their signature Bypass Burgers on the menu to tempt those willing to risk a coronary mishap.
The restaurant has locations in Midtown and Little 5 Points, per its website.

"In a state filled with barbecue and fried food, one restaurant easily barges ahead with a menu that can make any dieter wince," the food blog said. "Atlanta's The Vortex prides itself on serving up some incredibly dense burgers, with an entire category devoted to specialty Bypass Burgers that easily exceed 3,000 calories. Wow!"

The restaurant describes itself this way: "We grill up the best damn burgers in town, offer a huge selection of beer, spirits and specialty cocktails, and serve some ridiculously indulgent bar food. Basically everything we offer is bad for you. It’s the kind of place your momma warned you about. We have always tried to be as transparent as possible about what we do here. We’re certainly not trying to fool anyone into becoming a patron. So, if you’re looking for fine dining, health food, vegan or vegetarian dishes, or gluten-free options, The Vortex is probably not the place for you. No hard feelings."
