Georgia Elementary Teacher Accused Of Abusing Student Arrested: Police

TIFTON, GA — A south Georgia elementary school teacher is facing charges following accusations that she abused a student.
Ingram Perry Medina, 45, of Tifton has been charged with felony cruelty to children in the first degree.
According to the Tifton Police Department, on April 8, officers received a report from the Tift County Division of Family and Child Services regarding possible child abuse in a classroom that took place two days earlier just before 3 p.m. at G.O. Bailey School on Newton Drive.

Police said they launched an investigation into child abuse allegations and determined that there was enough probable cause to arrest Medina.
"The investigation is ongoing, and no other details will be released," police said in a news release.
