'Kraken' Lawsuit Against Kemp, Raffensperger Withdrawn
Lawsuit in which Trump attorney Sidney Powell accusing the Georgia Governor and Secretary of State of election fraud was withdrawn.

ATLANTA — A lawsuit accusing Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger of debunked election fraud was withdrawn from federal court Wednesday by attorneys representing the campaign for former Pres. Donald Trump.
The complaint, filed November in U.S. District Court, alleged without evidence that Kemp and Raffensperger, both Republicans, colluded with the three members of the Georgia Election Board and Democrats to rig the election in favor of Pres. Joe Biden.
Sidney Powell, an attorney for Trump’s campaign, referred to the lawsuit when she famously threatened to “unleash the kraken,”name dropping the mythical sea monster. Powell claimed without evidence that Dominion Voting Systems, the company that provided the new election equipment used by Georgia, was in league with no less than long-deceased Venezuelan strongman Hugo Chavez.
