Mom, 4 Kids Killed In I-95 Crash In GA

A Jeep that rear-ended a car caught fire, killing a family of five along Georgia's Interstate 95, state authorities say.

GEORGIA — A woman and her four children are dead after a weekend crash in McIntosh County, Georgia State Patrol said.

The fatal crash happened around 5:30 a.m. Sunday on Interstate 95 south. GSP said a Jeep SUV going south in the far-right lane rear-ended a car.

The Jeep then hit the center guardrail and caught fire, GSP said. The woman and four children - ages 9, 4, 2 and 3 months old - who were inside of the SUV died at the scene, GSP said.

The woman was identified as Reagan Dougan, a 27-year-old who was headed to meet her husband in Florida, WYFF4 reported.

The crash injured a passenger in the second car, the news outlet reported.

GSP said its investigation into the crash is ongoing.
