GA Fast Food Chain To Offer Free French Fries — But There's A Catch

On July 11, this chain is challenging its competitors by offering free French fries with just one requirement.

In celebration of National French Fry Day, Georgia burger chain Checkers & Rally's is offering free large orders of its French fries — but there's a catch.

On July 11, those seeking free fries must bring in a competitor's receipt showing a fry purchase to score Rally's large Famous Seasoned Fries. For example, a guest could bring a receipt for a fry purchase at In-N-Out, McDonald's, Burger King and so on.

At Rally's locations across the U.S., the chain says it's "taking aim at bland fries everywhere" with this "bold—and delicious" offer.

No additional purchase is required for the fry "upgrade." Guests can simply present a valid competitor’s receipt that shows a fry purchase, and the clerk will do the rest. However, just one free large fry per guest and per receipt is allowed. The offer is valid while supplies last.

"We’re not just giving away fries — we’re issuing a flavor wake-up call," said Chris Tebben, CEO of Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, Inc. "Our Famous Seasoned Fries have been voted the #1 Most Craveable Fries for a reason, and National French Fry Day is the perfect time to show guests why they should never settle again, and how at Checkers & Rally’s we always strive to live up to our ‘This Eats Different’ promise."

Last year, U.S. Rally's customers bought more than half a billion servings of the chain's fries.
