GEORGIA — Spontaneous travel is rising, and visitors are seeking "one-of-a-kind" experiences, according to Airbnb.

From architectural gems to "glamping" domes to treehouses, travelers are exploring some of the most wishlisted stays across the nation.

The most wishlisted Airbnb in Georgia is a whimsical romantic treehouse: MountainViews at KindleRidge.

The one-bedroom, one-bath cabin boasts a 5-star rating in Dahlonega. The host deems it ideal for romantic couples.

Features include an outdoor shower and jacuzzi, a hot tub, a gas fire pit, a projector with a 120-inch screen, a bathtub for soaking, a day-bed swing and — and of course, views of the Appalachian Mountains.

The home is an hour from Atlanta and sits near wineries, breweries, restaurants, a spa and downtown Dahlonega.

Airbnb said trips booked less than a week before travel have been the fastest-growing segment over the last three years, with many of those being nearby excursions.

Several are unique homes in fabulous natural settings, like the Spectacular Spyglass Treehouse in Occidental, California, and the Eagles Nest Treehouse in Wardensville, West Virginia.

Homes with eye-catching architecture are also featured, like Still Bend/Frank Lloyd Wright's Schwartz House in Two Rivers, Wisconsin.
