13th Citizen's Police Academy Class Graduates

A ceremony was held Tuesday in Acworth.

After 12 weeks, a new crop of residents graduated this week from the Citizen’s Police Academy.

The Acworth Police Department hosted the graduation at City Hall on Tuesday, and Cobb County District Attorney Vic Reynolds was the featured speaker, said Capt. Mark Cheatham, the spokesman for the department.

Since March 5, participants have learned about the operations of the Acworth Police Department, constitutional law, traffic enforcement, criminal investigations and other topics.
