Acworth Business Is the Latest Target of Identity Fraud

A Lithonia man is wanted on one count of identity fraud.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a Lithonia man who allegedly tried to pass off a fraudulent $33,600 check at a local SunTrust Bank.

Marvin L. Sampract allegedly used Schulz of America Inc.'s checking account number and the owner's signature, according to the warrant. Schulz is at 3420 Novis Pointe NW in Acworth.

"The check was passed without (the account holder's) knowledge or consent to do so," according to the warrant.

Sampract is wanted on one count of identity fraud.
