Acworth resident Whitney N. Bagley, 13, will compete Sunday in The Greater Atlanta McDonald’s Operators Association finale of The Gift Youth Singing Competition 2013.
Auditions were held at various McDonald’s restaurants in April to choose the finalists who would compete on June 2.The final competition will showcase musical artists between the ages of 9 and 15 from the greater Atlanta area.
Finalists will compete to win cash and prizes. The first-place winner will receive a prize package worth $20,000, including a $2,500 education fund and $5,000 in cash. Other prizes include a demo CD, vocal lessons with a trained vocal coach, appearances on local radio stations and more.
Second-place and third-place winners will also win cash and prizes.
The Gift competition is designed to expose youth to successful career opportunities in music, performing arts, marketing and related fields through education, technical tools and life skills assistance.

The finale happens at The Rialto Center for the Arts in Atlanta from 5 to 8:30 p.m.
