ACWORTH, GA — Police are investigating after a body was found near a construction area Friday morning, according to the Acworth Police Department.Officers found the body around 10 a.m. in the 4900 block of Ivey Road, in the Ajax Construction area, police said. Officers were conducting a welfare check.The identity and cause of death are unknown.The body was taken to the Cobb County Medical Examiner's Office, police said.Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to contact the Acworth Police Department at (770) 974-1232.
