Man Charged With Manslaughter In Fatal Acworth Shooting Of Teen
The teen who died in the Sunday shooting was identified as a 15-year-old boy from Kennesaw.
ACWORTH, GA — A 22-year-old Kennesaw man is facing involuntary manslaughter charges after being accused of fatally shooting a teenage boy Sunday in the 3000 block of Cobb Parkway.
Acworth Police said late Monday afternoon the shooting happened around 8:45 p.m. at the Cobblestone Landing Apartments.
When officers arrived, they found a 15-year-old boy unresponsive with a gunshot wound. First aid was rendered, and emergency medical workers then took the boy to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police identified the teenage boy as Tayshawn Omari Dean, of Kennesaw. Lorenz McNeill was charged on suspicion of involuntary manslaughter and reckless conduct, police said.
McNeill is currently in custody without a bond at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, police said.
