The missing Acworth woman who was last seen in Woodstock Tuesday morning has been found. "The missing elderly female ... has been located and is OK," said Jay Baker, the spokesman for the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, which asked Tuesday for the public's help to locate 84-year-old Joan McDowell. McDowell left her doctor's office on Stone Bridge Parkway in Woodstock at 9 a.m. Tuesday and had not been seen since. It's not clear from Baker's email where authorities located McDowell.
