2. Postal worker arrested on her route for mail theft. What she told USPS agents (wsbtv.com) — A postal worker is under criminal investigation after opened and discarded greeting-card envelopes were found at a cluster mailbox in the Acworth area, and another worker faces separate theft allegations in Austell. Cobb County and Austell police, along with USPS inspectors, say both employees are no longer with the Postal Service. Officials urge residents to send gift cards or money digitally when possible.

Missing Acworth man identified as remains found in Oglethorpe County (fox5atlanta.com) — Authorities have confirmed that human remains found in Oglethorpe County belong to 21-year-old Acworth resident Kenny Jackson Jr., who had been missing since November. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation and Acworth Police say the death investigation remains active, with no details yet on how or where his body was found. Jackson was last seen leaving his Blue Springs Trace home on November 19.
