• Campus News: The Week of Jan. 3 (mdjonline.com) — An Acworth student, Brycan Cole, earned a spot on Georgia Southwestern State University’s prestigious fall 2025 President’s List, highlighting strong academic achievement from our community. The roundup also recognizes numerous students from nearby Marietta, Powder Springs, Atlanta, Mableton, Smyrna, and Kennesaw for degrees and honors across several programs. 
• Health inspection scores for Cobb County restaurants and other food services from December 26 to January 1 (cobbcountycourier.com) — Food safety inspectors recently gave the Dairy Queen Grill & Chill on Cowan Road in Acworth a strong score of 99 during its December 29 visit. The report also lists dozens of other Cobb County restaurants, hotels, and cafeterias with scores from late December through New Year’s, so you can quickly check how your regular spots performed.
