TN Man Accused Of Trying To Sell $95K Stolen Diamond In Georgia
The diamond has 9.46 carats and was said to be stolen out of Chattanooga, Tennessee, according to Acworth Police.
ACWORTH, GA — A Tennessee man is accused of attempting to sell a stolen 9.46-carat diamond, valued at $95,000, in Acworth, police said Thursday.
According to the Acworth Police Department, the man has been identified as Brandon McNeece, 41, of Whitwell, Tennessee.
McNeece is accused of riding a stolen motorcycle to a jewelry business in the 3000 block of Cobb Parkway on Nov. 4 to sell the diamond that police said was stolen out of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Police said it was discovered the diamond was stolen when business owners noticed a different name and a Hixson, Tennessee, address on a photo of a partial Certificate of Authenticity.
The store owners contacted the owner of the diamond, police said. Acworth officers verified the diamond was stolen, police said.

McNeece is being charged on suspciion of theft by bringing stolen property into the state, receiving stolen property greater than $1,500, possession of cocaine and possession of methamphetamine, police said.
He is being held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center on a $110,220 bond, police said.
