- A recent survey shows that Alpharetta is number seven of the top places to live in the United States! Reasons given are the city's job market, income levels, neighborhood, schools and more! The top location is Calabasas, California, which is north of Los Angeles. Other cities in Georgia that scored in the top 100 include Johns Creek (58), Marietta (66) and Sandy Springs (88). Brookhaven was number 126. (Metro Atlanta CEO)
- Milton's City Pool will closed after this weekend. It's located at Milton City Park and Preserve at 1785 Dinsmore Road. It will be open on Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you don't have a pool pass, you can still get in by paying a gate fee. The forecast is great with highs in the 80s and sun! - Police were called from The Phoenix at Milton assisted living when an employee allegedly swung a knife at her co-workers. One employee said the two were preparing food in the kitchen and got into an argument. The suspect allegedly brandished a knife at her and at another co-worker in the kitchen. The fight was captured on video and the suspect has been fired. (Appen Media)
- Milton's City Hall is getting some upgrades. The doors leading to council chambers are being replaced with sliding ones that are easier to use. That will be helpful for everyone, especially when their hands are full. In addition, the doors used for getting in and out of the City Hall lobby will soon be replaced with sliding ones.
