- Over the weekend, many homes in Alpharetta received antisemitic flyers. They are similar to flyers that were distributed earlier this year in Roswell, Sandy Springs and Dunwoody. Here is a statement from Alpharetta Mayor Jim Gilvin. “On behalf of the City of Alpharetta and the City Council, I am disturbed and deeply disappointed by these flyers.” Law enforcement is investigating the flyers; please contact Alpharetta Department of Public Safety at 678-297-6300 or use its online crime tip reporting tool. - Are you interested in taking a class on stretching to improve your flexibility? There's one starting this week at Milton City Park and Preserve's community center on Wednesday at 11 a.m. These classes can help improve balance, improve athletic performance and more! You can sign up for sessions or individual classes at www.miltonga.gov/Registration. (City of Milton)
- Twenty-six horses were killed in a barn fire at Blue Springs Farm in Ball Ground in nearby Forsyth County over the weekend. This farm has a riding school and has been in business since 2002. No humans were inside at the time. By the time fire officials arrived at the scene, the barn was completely engulfed in flames. Officials are investigating the cause of the blaze and a fundraiser has been set up to aid the owners. (11Alive.com WXIA)
