  1. The City of Alpharetta has hired special counsel to negotiate with Fulton County. The negotiations are over the Local Option Sales Tax fund distribution. The two entities must negotiate every ten years using newly acquired census data, by law. The city gets about $20 million from the fund. (The Atlanta Journal Constitution)

  3. Fulton County libraries will begin offering free child eye exams next week. The exams will be offered throughout the county at various library branches until Aug. 1. Participants must schedule an appointment to partake in the program. Click to schedule. (11Alive.com WXIA)
  4. Infrastructure Management Services (IMS) will be assessing the status and quality of Milton pavement in a white van starting next week. The van will be labeled with "IMS" and will feature a large yellow/black laser bar on the front or back. There might be minor traffic delays due to the survey. This service will help the city budget for rehabbing the city's infrastructure. (City of Milton)
  5. Anduril Industries has announced a $60 million investment in Fulton County. The defense technology company will be creating 180 new jobs in Fulton County over the next three years, accordingly to Governor Brian P. Kemp. The Chairman of the Fulton County Board of Commissioners reports that the investment is proof that the county is a desirable location for world-class companies.
