- Two Fulton County employees have tested positive for the monkeypox virus. “The affected employees have worked with the Board of Health to follow contract tracing protocols,” officials said. “They are adhering to the guidance of their healthcare providers. We are following all CDC guidance regarding isolation.” (WSB Atlanta)
- Police are still searching for clues in the Jul. 24 death of a man in Alpharetta. According to investigators, police arrived at the Double Tree Hotel on Jordan Court in Alpharetta to find a man unresponsive. He was taken to the hospital for cardiac arrest and no further information has been provided as of press time. (Appen Media)
- Despite the cancellation of Midtown Music, the "Black Parade" is still heading to Metro Atlanta! My Chemical Romance announced they will still perform in Alpharetta at the same time as the canceled festival. The program gives seniors over 60 years of age vouchers they can exchange for fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs from authorized farmers at Georgia Roots Urban Farm.
