Atlanta Officer, Woman Fatally Shot At Home ID'ed

ATLANTA, GA — An Atlanta Police officer and a woman were found shot to death at a home around 4 p.m. Saturday at Cooledge Avenue Northeast, police said.

Officers responded to the home to conduct a welfare check at the request of friends, police said. They added they then found the officer and woman dead with gunshot wounds.

Police identified the duo as Kevin Stroner, 56, and Moriah Cardona, 44.

Officers were not searching for any additional suspects, and the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office will determine a cause of death, police said.

A motive is unknown.
