  1. On Aug. 2, an ethics panel said it was not ready to render a decision regarding whether Councilman Paul Moore had violated city code by voting on the matter in May. The Milton City Council will compensate the White Columns Homeowners Association for traffic calming devices on the streets. (Appen Media)
  2. The Alpharetta Planning Commission approved the preliminary plan for a $500 million redevelopment of North Point Mall. The developer made the changes the commission wanted, including having less rental units and more units for homebuyers. (The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
  3. On Aug. 3, the City of Milton's Election Feasibility Committee discussed the practicalities of the city conducting its own municipal elections. The Milton panel must decide on whether Milton's election independence is possible in only three more scheduled meetings. (Appen Media)
  4. Former President Donald Trump's personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, is trying to delay his testimony before a Fulton County special grand jury for Georgia's 2020 elections. Giuliani will challenge his subpoena today, Aug. 9, at 12:30 p.m. in front of Fulton Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney, according to a new court filing. (The Atlanta Journal Constitution)

The City Pool will be open from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on weekdays, 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on weekends, and "senior" swim will continue for one hour beginning at 10:00 a.m.!
