- Morgan Stanley is investing in Alpharetta by adding 1,800 Georgians to its workforce, many of them at their Alpharetta campus. The company will increase their office space, located off Edison Drive, in Alpharetta by 100,000 square feet. Currently the global financial services firm employs over 4,000 Georgia residents in functions including Technology, Research, Human Resources and Operations and support roles. (State of Georgia)
- Alpharetta Master Police Officer Bradley Rocks passed away on July 20, and there will be a procession for him throughout the city on Monday, July 31. It will begin at 10:30 a.m. from Northside Chapel, travel along Rucker Road to GA-9 and then go up Cumming Street. There might be traffic delays due to the procession. Citizens are invited to line the sidewalks along the route to show their respect. In lieu of flowers, his family is requested that donations be made to the Alpharetta Public Safety Foundation and iCan Bike Alpharetta. (City of Alpharetta)
- Milton recently held a Field Day for Camp Joyful Soles. This camp is for individuals ages 13 to 22 with special needs. The celebration included kickball, face painting, corn hole, bowling, refreshments and more! July is Disability Pride Month, and many came out to help run this event at Bell Memorial Park. A reporter from Neighborhood TV stopped by that day to do a piece on this program. (City of Milton, Georgia - Government via Facebook)
- Three preschool teachers in Roswell have been arrested for alleged abuse charges at a Roswell daycare center. They are Zeina Alostwani, Soriana Briceno and Lulwa Almouslli, and the daycare center is Parker-Chase of East Roswell.
