  1. An ethics panel is deliberating over whether Councilman Paul Moore had violated city code with a May 2 vote. Moore, a White Columns resident, voted on May 2 to defer a decision on whether the city should enter an agreement with the HOA to share improvements for traffic control devices. In an accusation, White Columns HOA president Tony Palazzo alleged seven ethics violations against the Councilman. A second hearing has not yet been set.   2. A new Christian bookstore in East Cobb will be holding a grand opening today. The store, located at 2745 Sandy Plains Road, is about 20-30 minutes from Alpharetta-Milton. It will host a four-day Grand Opening, starting with a 3:00 p.m. ribbon-cutting. All Things Inspiration is an expansion from their South Cobb location. The store offers bibles, Christian books, church supplies, and other materials. (East Cobb News)
  3. The nearby town, Sandy Springs, has issued a work permit for a three-story assisted living building. The work site, which is located at 5279 Roswell Road, will feature 131 rooms with 101,000 total square feet. The exterior will be stucco stone and cement siding. Roswell Assistance Living is the tenant listed on the work permit, which has not been registered with the state's Corporations Division. (Reporter Newspapers)
  4. Looking for a home? Here's five homes on the market ready for you to check them out. One house in Johns Creek, with 4,291 square feet, five bedrooms, and four bathrooms, is listed for $625,000.   5. The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners recognized Col. Carroll Edge last Thursday. The colonel was recognized for his advocacy for the special needs community with the naming of a new Miracle League ball field in Lanierland Park. It will be known as Col. Carroll & Judy Edge Field.
