Here are the top five stories in Alpharetta-Milton today:
- Calling all local foodies: Taste of Atlanta is bringing its "Taste Around Town" project to Union Hill Park this weekend. Today and tomorrow, participating Alpharetta restaurants will bring their best dishes for guests to sample at the event. Tonight's session runs from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. and the Saturday sessions will be held from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (CBS46 and Alpharetta Patch)
- It's back-to-school season, and the Milton Police Department is hosting a special drive to support families who might need some help affording school supplies this year. The Department will be collecting supplies through Tuesday, Jul. 26. If you're interested in participating, you can drop off your donations at the Milton Police Department (13690 Highway 9) from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. today or Monday, or until noon on Tuesday. - Three 14-year-old boys have been charged with third-degree arson in connection with a fire at a gazebo in Chimney Lakes. The Chief Investigator said that fire crews responded to the blaze on Jul. 7 at 5:38 p.m. The fire was located on Johnson Ferry Road. According to officials, the three boys intentionally set the gazebo on fire. (East Cobb News)

- Tapped In Fit Boxing Club is starting up its after-school program this fall. The program focuses on developmental, educational, and confidence-building activities. Kids will get the opportunity to safely and correctly learn about boxing, fitness, and self-confidence. There will also be homework help, tutoring, and mentoring available for kids in the program.
