Student Awarded Rotary Youth Exchange Scholarship
The scholarship is for 24K and it covers all expenses for a year long academic journey in Mexico.

From The Rotary Club Of Alpharetta: The Rotary Club of Alpharetta is proud to announce that it has selected local high school student, Kate Rojales to receive the prestigious Rotary Youth Exchange Scholarship to study abroad.
The scholarship is valued at over $24,000.00 and covers room, board, tuition and a monthly stipend for one academic year. The scholarship is awarded for the 2017-2018 academic year by the Rotary Club of Alpharetta.
In August of 2017, Kate will begin her role as a global ambassador when she departs for her year-long exchange in Mexico. Between now and her departure, she will be involved with extensive language and cultural training and preparation to be immersed in her new culture.

Annually, nearly 9,000 high school students between the ages of 14 and 18 years old participate in this program world-wide. The program began in the 1920s and its primary mission is to work towards peace and understanding in the world. Rotary Youth Exchange is a member of the Council on Standards for International Educational Travel (CSIET), a nonprofit organization committed to setting standards for international educational travel and monitoring compliance with those standards. It is also approved by the U.S. Department of State.
The Rotary Youth Exchange scholarship programs in Florida and Georgia are growing through the efforts of the multi-district organization, Rotary Youth Exchange Florida, Inc.

Each of the nine Rotary International districts in the Sunshine State and in Georgia are committed to promoting the Rotary Youth Exchange scholarship program, and at least half of the districts have been honored with District Achievement Awards at the annual conferences of the North American Youth Exchange Network. Currently, Rotary Youth Exchange Florida has exchange agreements with over 35 countries and has an annual exchange ratio of 1:1 resulting in over 160 total students in the states of Florida and Georgia participating each year.
Rotary Youth Exchange is seeking potential host families in Greater Atlanta for the 2017-2018 academic year. The host family is responsible for providing room and board for the inbound exchange student for approximately three months. Host families are a vital part of the cultural exchange program.
