Teens ages 13 to 17 will get the chance to learn about the principals of design, drawing, painting and mixed media when Alpharetta's Parks & Rec Department hosts its Teen Art Academy.
The session will be held July 29 through Aug. 2 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Alpharetta Arts Center.
The academy will be taught by Kip Rogers, a well-known artist and instructor, who will guide the students through hands-on demonstrations and class discussions.
“This mini-art academy is geared towards the more serious teenage artists who are interested in taking pre-AP or Advanced Placement Studio Art classes in school,” said Nancy Suttles, Arts Coordinator in a press release.
