Athens-Clarke County Government: Southeast Clarke Park Trail Improvements Public Input Sessions Planned

The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department will host public input sessions regarding the trail improvements proposed.

The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department will host public input sessions regarding the trail improvements proposed for Southeast Clarke Park. These sessions are planned for Saturday, August 28 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., and Monday, August 30 from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Both sessions will take place outdoors at the Athens-Clarke County Tennis Center located at 4460 Lexington Road. Additionally, an online survey will be available at www.accgov.com/leisureserviceslistens.

With Mayor and Commission approval, Leisure Services will apply for the State of Georgia’s Division of Natural Resources’ Recreational Trails Program grant that will require matching from SPLOST 2020 Park Improvements Project. Staff plans to pursue grants from other agencies to further supplement project funding, as well.
