Couple Robs Waffle House and Customers on South Milledge, Get Caught, Arrested

The targeted Waffle House is near the Athens Bypass.

A man and a woman robbed the Waffle House on South Milledge, at 3am Monday, taking money from the register and cell phones from both employees and customers.

Criminals Randall Buck, 44, and Frankie Shaunae Nicole Buck, 32, were arrested shortly after the robbery, according to a story in the Athens Banner Herald.

Police believe Frankie Buck, who has a Jackson County address, drooped off her masked husband, who has a Winterville address, at the restaurant. He went into the restaurant with a handgun and took the cellphones from the workers and three customers, the story says, then drove off in an employee's car.

Someone called police with another phone, and police located Buck in the stolen car, the story says. Officers found the weapon was a BB gun. They also found cash and most of the cell phones. Police also found Frankie Buck and learned she had dropped off her husband, the story says.

The Bucks face six counts of armed robbery, according to the story. Randall Buck also was charged with six counts of aggravated assault and single counts of fleeing to elude arrest and theft by taking.
