Kroger Customers Raise More Than $1.2 Million for Those in Need During The Salvation Army Red Kettle Drive

Generosity poured out in abundance across Kroger’s Atlanta Division as its customers raised more than $1.2 million for The Salvation Army Red Kettle Drive during the 2014 holiday season.

From Nov. 16 – Dec. 24, volunteer bell ringers staffed the iconic red kettles at Kroger stores to raise funds that provide meals for the hungry, coats for the homeless, toys for children and help for communities facing natural disasters throughout the year.

“We cannot thank our customers and associates enough for their support of the Red Kettle initiative, which enables The Salvation Army to provide services to the underprivileged all year long,” says Glynn Jenkins, director of communications and public relations for Kroger’s Atlanta Division. “Kroger is deeply committed to providing assistance to those in need. The Red Kettle campaign is a program we look forward to each year, as it gives us an opportunity to give back to our customers and the communities we serve.”
