The Newborn man was with his wife and kids when their car was in a collision on Timothy Road, the Athens Banner-Herald reports.

Christopher Tyler Evans, 37, of Newborn, was riding to Georgia Square Mall to see Santa Claus with his excited 5- and 7-year-old sons on Monday when the car his wife was driving pulled into the path of an oncoming Jeep.
The collision on Timothy Road near the Athens Perimeter killed Evans, the Athens Banner-Herald reports, on the couple's anniversary.
The Jeep driver was a 16-year-old Oconee County High School student who had been volunteering with a youth group and working at a nursing home that day, police told the newspaper.
