Watch: Highlights From UGA Football's First Week Of Spring Camp
Georgia began spring training this week, ushering in the first of many hype videos showing off the Dawgs.

ATHENS, GA -- The Georgia Bulldogs opened spring camp this week, showing off several new faces that will undoubtedly make big impacts on offense and defense come football season.
Coach Kirby Smart is not shy about putting young players in the starting lineup, as evidenced by freshman Deangelo Gibbs getting to run starter drills with the first team.
Also getting quality time is Liberty County standout safety Richard LeCounte III, who has been lining up at cornerback.

“Coach always says, if you’re good enough to play, you’re good enough to lead,” outside linebacker Davin Bellamy said, according to Macon.com. “If a guy is ready to play, Coach isn’t going to be hesitant, and you guys saw it last year, of putting young guys in. Deangelo has great upside. He’s a long kid. He understands the game and works really hard.”
Second-year quarterback Jacob Eason will also be expected to shoulder more of the load. Last year, he had a solid season, showing big-play ability despite being a first-time starter in the SEC. This year, he has the unbridled support of his teammates.

“He’s got one year under his belt, he’s going to go out there and hope to learn even more,” senior tailback Sony Michel told DawgNation.com. “I think that’ll help this team a lot. Because then he can not focus on learning the system. He can be a leader while learning more.”
Georgia, who came in second last year in the SEC East, opens September 2 against Appalachian State.
