6-Month-Old Atlanta Child Killed When Caught In Drive-By Shooting Crossfire: Police
Video of the SUV in the Atlanta drive-by shooting that killed an infant was released, and police are offering a $5,000 reward for arrests.

ATLANTA, GA – Atlanta Police are offering up to a $5,000 reward and asking for the public's help to find the suspects of a drive-by shooting that killed an infant Monday.
The 6-month-old child was caught in the crossfire of a shooting Monday afternoon around 2:35 p.m. at a Food Mart near the intersection of Tiger Flowers Drive and Anderson Avenue NW, police said.
Video footage released Tuesday by Atlanta Police shows a white or grey Jeep SUV drive past the store with an armed man leaning out the window.

The infant was in another vehicle when the shooting happened and was hit. The child was taken to an area hospital but died shortly after arrival, police said.
"This hurts for a 6-month-old child to be riding down the street and become a victim of random gun violence between two people who can't resolve a simple issue," Atlanta Police Chief Rodney Bryant said. "We'll be bringing this case to a resolution soon."

This is the third shooting of a child under the age of 6 in Atlanta this year. A 5-year-old survived being shot in similar situation, but the mother of a 1-year-old killed earlier this month was arrested and charged with second-degree murder last week.
“These children are bearing the burden and the pain of adults who are choosing to use guns to solve disputes,” said Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens, who lives in the next neighborhood over from where the shooting happened. “Children are bearing this burden with their lives and I'm here today to demand that it stop right now.”
The investigation is ongoing.
