- A group of Georgians protested the murder of Tyre Nichols in downtown Atlanta's Centennial Olympic Park. Nichols was 29 years old when he was beaten to near death by five Memphis police officers. Protestors are expressing their concerns about the presence of Georgia's National Guard at protests that they deem peaceful. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
- North Atlanta's Academic Decathlon Scholars are moving on to state. The Academic Decathlon is an annual high school nationwide academic competition where students are tested in various categories including economics, art, math, science, literature, and more. (The Warrior Wire)
- The Atlanta police say a man died while transported to the hospital after a shooting. On Saturday, just before 4 p.m., an Atlanta police officer conducted a traffic stop and discovered the driver of the vehicle was attempting to get a man suffering from a gunshot wound to Grady hospital. Officials said the shooting took place at 807 Conley Road SE. (WSB Atlanta)
- Georgia Tech’s basketball team lost out to Duke in Atlanta on Saturday. The score was 86-43, with Duke Blue Devils basketball player Kyle Filipowski scoring a game-high 18 points. (Subscription: Gwinnettdailypost.com)
- Atlanta police said on Saturday, around 2:10 a.m., an officer was conducting a traffic stop near 2841 Greenbriar Pkwy. SW when 29-year-old Mickal Parker allegedly got into an officer’s car and drove away from the scene. Officers said Parker crashed and flipped the patrol car onto the train tracks while the train was coming in an attempt to flee. Other local officers and the Atlanta police Aviation Unit responded by locating the vehicle and suspect near McDonough Boulevard. (WSB Atlanta)

- The Atlanta Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding a suspect in a fatal shooting. The shooting occurred on Friday at 30 Marietta St. NW. If you have information on the case or can identify the suspect seen in the photos and video, submit a tip anonymously to the Crime Stoppers Atlanta tip line at 404-577-TIPS (8477), online, or by texting CSA and the tip to CRIMES (274637).
