APS Superintendent Meria J Carstarphen to Deliver Annual State of the District Address

ATLANTA – Atlanta Public Schools (APS) Superintendent Meria J. Carstarphen delivers her annual State of the District address at 8 a.m., Friday, October 7 at the newly renovated Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School, located at 545 Hill St. SE, Atlanta, GA, 30312.

Carstarphen will showcase talented APS students before an audience of business and civic leaders, parents, APS alumni and staff to tell the story of the APS transformation, district priorities, and vision, using educational hip-hop music based on the Broadway musical “Hamilton.”

This year’s State of the District address is being presented by Delta Air Lines. IBM is the Gold Sponsor and Junior Achievement of Georgia is the Silver Sponsor.
