Armed TSA Officer Arrested At Atlanta Airport
Police accused the TSA officer of bringing a gun beyond the airport's security checkpoint.
ATLANTA, GA — An armed TSA officer at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport was arrested this week at the airport's north terminal, Atlanta Police said Friday.
Police said Matthew Gilbert, 58, was arrested on Tuesday after officers responded to the Transportation Security Administration's main checkpoint. APD was notified that a TSA officer was beyond a security checkpoint with a gun, police said.
Little details were released regarding the matter, but police said Gilbert was arrested and charged on suspicion of reckless conduct. He was taken to the Clayton County Jail, police said.
